At the age of 12, in 2014 Barend Stander, got his first boerboel, Sasha. With her first litter Barend bought himself a few Dorper sheep. When the family need to move he sold all the sheep and bought 3 registered boerboels - Heineman Mike, Reagal Brave and Robust Elsa.  In 2016 Barend and his father Bennie decided to register their own kennels - the beginning of BBS Boerboele.
It is here where the LOVE for the Boerboel breed started for the rest of the family. Each member of the Stander family now owned their own Boerboel.

Today, 2 years later, Bennie (father), Anèl (mother), Karesna (sister), Johann (brother), Eben (brother) and Simone Swart (best friend of Barend) are all part of BBS Boerboels. They strive to be the best family each dog could have and they are all very enthusiastic in the breeding of their own BBS puppies. At BBS Boerboels they believe that only the best for their Boerboels and for the breed should apply.

The Breed Standard is a guideline to them and therefor when breeding a Boerboel, they always keep in mind that this new puppy will be a new family member for the next owner with the BBS name.
